She's Gone Country

Updated: Jul 2

What a whirl wind this past 2 months have been. We talked to a realtor on a Friday, that evening we found this micro farm with a huge shop for JA Trucking Services LLC, can hold 6 semi's and trailers plus tools, etc. We drove 3 hours to see it on a Sunday. Monday we talked to the realtor again to list our Bismarck ND home, and to make an offer on the farm.

I packed the whole house in 4 days. Justin moved everything to the truck shop, and I had everything professionally cleaned and I staged the house for photo's and viewing. The photographer said it was staged beautifully, the realtor told him I did it myself, and he said it was professionally done.

First day of listing, we had 5 views, second day 4 views, we got 4 full price offers. We took the one that was cash offer. We got a bridge loan to buy the farm. Everything happened fast, and we were closing on the farm, and the city house sold, and we paid the bridge loan off before the first payment was due.

Then it took 6 days with a U-Haul 16' truck and a pull behind trailer to move everything to the farm. I had literally rooms full of boxes stacked 5 high. I worked very hard, and had the boxes unpacked in a week, the house decorated, even pictures on the walls and everything cleaned by the next week. We were settled into the new house.

But, we've had to replace or fix many things, not minor, major things in the new place. Our plan is to survive this house, and in 2 years build the house of our dreams.

So, in this house, I took one bedroom and created my "store" as I had in the city house. I've made sales and I've had local's drop in to see the store and buy from me already. I've been making new items, replenishing inventory, and making plans for growth. I've also had surgery again, my leg, so I'm so happy I pushed to be settled in before the surgery.

If you're local to North Dakota, we're 3 miles south of the Canadian Boarder, and between Kenmare, Mohall, Sherwood, and Bowbells area. Contact me, and stop by to see the store.

Call me at 701-315-0153 for directions, and make sure I'm home.

Meanwhile, July 1 through 12, I'm having a 25% off sale on everything. You can save shipping by stopping in. And Justin is still back and forth to Bismarck ND several times a week, and can bring orders there for you to pick up at his truck shop.
